Over the span of many decades, there have been many wars in the world.Millions of refugees have been displaced leading to much human suffering.However in time, the nations of the world, or the host nation absobed the refugees.
There are examples of that all over Asia and Europe.
Only one area do we see a refuisal to solve the "refugee" problem. That is in the Palestinian refugee problem.This is so because the Arabs have used this as a pawn and a hammer overf the western world and Israel.
The whole cry"Right of Return" is only a substitute for the destruction of Israel.Over the years UNWRA (with US support) has supported this concept of "eternal Refugees", with money,political support and a failure to advance the lives of these second,third and fourth generation "refugees'.
No other refugee problem in the world has become a permanent beaurocracy that also teaches hate for Israel in the schools that exist in the camps.Many times the Arabs have refused offers to build modern homes ,because it would destroy the image of the homeless refugee.
FINALLY THE SENATE APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEEE HAS PASSED LEGISLATION THAT WOULD MANDATE THE STATE DEPT. TO DOCUMENT HOW MANY REAL SURVIVORS OF 1948 ARE STILL ALIVE.(HOPEFULLY THE CONGRESS WILL PASS A SIMILAR BILL)
The guess is 30,000 .The rest never saw a home in Israel.
Their plight is nO different from the hundreds of thousands of Jewish refugees that were forced to leave Arab countries without compensation.They were absorbed by Israel.
The Arab countries refused to intgegrate and absorb these people
Perhaps when we know how many of these people really "left" their homes ( or left voluntarily-being promised to come back to a Palestinian victory) we c an get closer to a solution-I DOUBT IT

nanny mike / open e-mails
As one who is overweight, I know the dangers of obesity.
Most overweight people try for years every diet in the world.
This past week I heard about Dr. Bo's growth hormone pills fron Canada. Legal? safe?
The bottom line as every physician knows, it is self control, exercise, proper diet, and more self-control..
No one can make you lose weight unless you do it yourself!
Thus it is comical to hear of Mayor Bloomberg's edict re; 16 ounce sodas.
If you took all sugary sodas off the market-it would not change the big picture.=ot the obesity rate.
Walk into a theatre and look at the refreshment stand.Dozens of types of candies in mega-size, pop-corn in buckets larger than your head, ice cream etc.
If you want a police state-outlaw them all.Then go to fast food places-force them to omit large sandwiches, shakes etc.
Go down the line and go from food store to supermarket to sweet specialty shops, and prevent anyone overwight from buying a product unless
A-they have a note from their doctor-
B-from their mother or
C-weigh under 120 pounds for women and 160 for men.
Perhaps we should legislate that anyone who owns their own helicopter cannot serve as Mayor because of noise pollution.or a restriction on owning too many homes outside of NYC.
Oh Yes=How about the movies having a special-2 16 ounce cups attached one to the other?
What I do object to is that in airports , turnpike stops ,etc, you cannot purchase a small coffee or soda.
Everything is MEGA
Today there are rerports of Israeli security agents at the airport forcing questionable visitors to open their e-mails in order to see if they have come to disrupt the country.

Obama -the failure
For the sake of argument let us for the moment accept all of Obama's arguments
The economy is Bush's fault
The economy is because of Europe
The Reps in the Congress have blocked his program
He has created many jobs
He saved us from depression
Wait--He ran 4 years ago on HOPE AND CHANGE-
He ran on tranparency and a promise to bring the nation together
The people gave him a Democratic House and Senate -veto-proof-filibuster proof-
He promised to lopwer the defecit-AND lower unemployment.
OR he would be a one term President.
The people punished him in 2010, because he did not deliover.Instad of being Clintonesqe and moving to the cnter, he doubled down and started a negative re-election campaign.If he can't fix it in 3 years he has no right to ask for an extension
Right now, he appears to be a man who is desperate-running up and down campaign platforms like a kid at a H.S. basketball game and it is the same ATTACK-ATTACK- ATTACK.
His team appears shocked that their attacks on Romney and his team because of Bain, or being Women haters- Black haters--Hispanic haters- all have flopped.
But even as Booker, Clinton Fitzpatrick and many Dem leaders have ridiculed the false Bain attacks-the President has nothing else, and is doubling down.
Why doen't he demand the Dems in the Senate take up all the Rep. bills waiting for action?
For 2 years with Congressional majority he pushed through Obamacare in a secretive manner.By the end of the month will it still be costitutional?
He pushed through his cash for clunkers-which drove all the used cars off the market.
His failed stimulus created a few jobs at a cost of a few hundred thousand per job, but didn't touch the economy.
He doesn't deserve another term, because he is way over his head.
Yes Romney invested money-to make money.
He understands business
